Yo-- 1st Entry.

Question before I say anything:
Is it safe to put artwork onto deviantART? Supposedly I've heard of licensing stuff and how deviantART steals some of your artist rights, etc. etc. etc.? So, I just want to ask if anyone really knows the specifics without all the confusing wordings that deviantART uses? If anyone can help me out, that'd be great. <3

So, you guys probably find it slightly weird to have a random person just stumble upon your artwork and comment about it as if they know something when they really don't know anything-- I guess I'm writing this to kind of clear things up so that it'll seem more as if you know a bit of who's making these random [or not so random] comments on your hard work. [I'm usually one of those people that just comments to say if I like it or not. I don't know that much about actual art. @__@]

Well, to be honest, I'm just a normal sixteen-year-old asian. I aspire to do many things, although most are out of my reach. You may be thinking, "Oh, nothing is out of reach if you really want it," but let me tell you this: I'm a pessimist, realist, whatever, and I /know/ that some things are out of reach.
Things holding me back:
1) Parents who are strict and believe the only way to life is to be a lawyer, doctor, or engineer.
2) Financial problems and how I'm just low on the green.
3) Lack of resources. I mean, where am I supposed to find all the stuff that I need without connections?! [This third thing is just me whining...]
But, I guess I could share what I do want to do? I want to own a bakery-- design everything from the food to the chairs my customers will sit on. I want to travel. A lot. I want to help people. I want to sing, become an artist, a writer, be an actress, listen to some great music, and eat great food [I love food].

Speaking of which... I love Indian [from India], Mediterranean, Italian, Mexican, Chinese, American [though this is debatable since most all American foods have originated from elsewhere], and... Oh! Japanese! I love Naan, Gulab Jamuns, Mango Lassi, Chicken Tiki Marsala; pasta, pizza; Falafels, Hummus, Pita-- I love all those foods. But really, I hate any type of onion. I hate red, green, yellow, sweet-- ANY type of onion, I dislike. I like cheese though, especially the stuff like Brie or Camembert. I guess I'd also like to be a cook. :]

Anyway, in regards to art, I love a lot of stuff. I'm very much interested in art that is shown in those flashy iPod commercials, and I love graphic design [although I haven't really gone too deep into that]. I also like photography, water color painting, and oil painting. Despite most of the basic stuff I've tried, I /still/ haven't gotten to try acrylic. Maybe sometime I'll get to. I don't really like pastels [maybe I don't know how to use them correctly?], and I think I still need to work harder in order to increase my ability to use a pencil to its fullest ability.

I like writing; I also like films [movies]-- especially foreign ones. I love Chinese dramas, even though I'm Taiwanese, because the hilarious characters and manga-like plots crack me up [I love to laugh].

I also like learning about new cultures and new languages. I finished with French III this past school year, and it's been great.

Also, even though I wouldn't say so, most people say I'm smart? I'll say that I may be hardworking, but not necessarilly smart. But, even though I'm a junior [this fall] in high school, I'll actually be attending college this fall. I got into a program, yada yada, so I'll be in a dorm this coming year? Hm.

Well, I guess I won't keep boring you to tears xD

See ya :3
